About Chandra Sekhar Academy

about1 about2

Chandra Sekhar Academy conceived at the out-skirts of Puri in a quiet academic ambience about 12 kms off from the madding crowds of the township on Puri-Konark Marine Drive Road at Balighai in the year 2004. The school surrounded by rural habitation has no such nearby English medium school to look after or to cater an international curricula & so the school came into being to make the rural children avail this CBSE curricula hassle free at an affordable rate. Besides regular CBSE curricula, Japanese language and culture has been taught as an elective subject from Nursery to Senior Secondary (+2)level. This is the only CBSE school in Odisha which nurtures Japanese language & culture with utmost precision and neatness along with its regular CBSE course.

Adding another colourful feather into its cap on 6th April 2018 the school opened its international branch in Kyoto, the former capital & the temple city of Japan. There were no such Indian based English medium school in Kansai region, western Japan. So the school was made for the children of Indian & its peripheral expats staying in western Japan and for those who have left their families in respective natives without having an affordable school here. It upheld the proud legacy of becoming the first ever Indian based English medium school in Kansai region, western Japan.

Looking into the career prospect of our +2 students we thought it wise to make them avail an IT career as India is recognised more for its IT in Japan and the school is already having its basement of Japanese language & culture. So it followed with an unanimous decision and an IT training centre (TICSA) has been opened inside the premises of the parent school 13th Oct 2019 . Along with various other computer courses O-level & A-level NIELIT course has been imparted approved by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Govt. of India. Many countries of the world especially Japanese companies in India & Japan desirous of recruiting them after completion of A-level & it has been made the only centre in the country where A-level is supported by Japanese language & culture for its in-depth facilitation.

A state-of-the-art Japanese language training centre has been opened separately for higher Masters & PhD studies in Japan or job oriented professional courses having skill based language training & expertise.

The school has been made available under "one roof campus" to take care of the prospective youths of the township as well as the state along with the surrounding villages and hamlets like Baliguali, Beladala, Chaitana, Dalanai, Bhuan, Bangara etc. encircling the school to have this rare privilege of sending their children to this school and thereby not only educate them with CBSE curricula but also extending support to choose their livelihood as well.

Over more than a decade & half of its edu-service to the township and its suburbs made the school stand majestic in a lush-green, eco-friendly environment to chant its hymn of success exchanging culture & education and thereby setting up a bridge between the two countries. The school is not only popular for catering education to the rural community of Odisha but also popular in far off Japan for its relentless service to make students learn Japanese language & culture and thereby bridge up the communication gap between Japan & India at grass-root level. So, every year students of different Universities of Japan under internship step into join with the students of this school to exchange their language, culture, habitat etc. with them and also on a reciprocal gesture show their interest for Odishan language, culture and life-style. Besides student exchange program different traditional folk artists of Japan organize a stage-show here every year where Japanese & Odishan artists join together to share each others music, tune, dance-form etc. to commemorate their solidarity & brotherhood. With their invitation many artists from Odisha have been to Japan to perform their exquisite art-form amid greetings, cheers and accolades. The school stands testimony to its proud legacy & rich heritage. Curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities are precisely performed here to train young minds with utmost precision & neatness. This is the only school in India which has been privileged to participate in two of the mega international projects of Japan namely "Kokorozashi Art Project" and "The Biggest painting in the world 2020". In Kokorozashi Art Project students have to write a line or two on a piece of cloth about their feeling towards attaining world peace and in The Biggest painting in the world 2020 they would have to depict their artistic maneuver drawing pictures of their culture, religion , habitat etc. on a piece of cloth measuring 5x5 mts. towards solidarity and respect while attaining world peace. Kokorozashi signifies your desire to serve humanity and the planet we live in volunteering something good to somebody else without any bias or prejudice. These wishes and art-works are collected from more than two hundred countries and one thousand five hundred cities of Japan to be sewn together and displayed in Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Since the school has been putting efforts on grooming Japanese language and culture for last several years, the govt. of Japan being pleased with its service and sincerity selected three numbers of students & a teacher to visit Japan under Jenesys program.
